Star light, star bright,
The first star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight.

I didn't participate in this week's IF, because I was busy finishing this piece. I wanted to add a piece to my portfolio that illustrated one of my favorite nursery rhymes, and I wanted to stay congruent with my style. I thought this charming and simple nursery rhyme was the best choice.
I'm happy with the outcome. I welcome any comments.
nice colors lady! did you have your kids pose for this one? Have a wonderful day! :) Nik
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI like this piece. The little boy's hair is especially well done.
Oh, that is lovely. Such a beautiful scene outside the window, too. I agree with Dot. The whorl of hair on the boy is excellent!
ReplyDeleteA perfect illustration for the rhyme. Like your clean, strong lines and the little extras like the dragon tail!
ReplyDeleteThis is so precious. Very nice illustration. Great color and composition. I really like your style. The illustration goes great with poem. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out beautifully! Love the composition and colors.
ReplyDeleteReally nice job with the colors and perspective. Definitely portfolio worthy my friend! Really love your work!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really strong piece. It has wonderful composition, nice colors and delightful forms. The kids have a weight to them making them very accessible. I agree with whomever said this is a portfolio piece.
