The image above is the finished piece image. I had to add seat belts since that was a major oversight on my part (my husband and one of you pointed that out). Even though this is an illustration and it's an imaginary world, I want to send the right message to kids. I think everyone is safe.
Well, there's still the dog... I know dogs are supposed to be in a crate or a seatbelt, but I think I'll try to have some creative license here.
Do you think an AD would require the dog to wear a seat belt or be in a crate?

hey edrian! thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your opinion and totally see your point. coming from a graphic background, it is hard to loosen up! i'm trying, but like you sadi, not so easy. really nice work on this piece - it's awesome!
This is great Edrian! Love your characters! The color pallette is perfect as well. Now that you mention it.... I don't think I drew seatbelts on mine either. I'll have to go back and check :o)
Showtunes! Always a car favorite! This is a really fun one. But then, all your illustrations convey such fun! I love a good road trip, don't you? Love the fall colors. And nah, I don't think ad AD would make you belt or crate the dog. Goodness knows, I see so many pooches unrestrained in cars.

Hey Edrian! Love the revised illustration. While I have seen AD's demand that you show children using safety equipment and devices at all times, I have yet to see a demand for the same regarding pets. So I think you should be pretty safe! Looks like something Highlights would love!!
