Illustration Friday: HOARD

This is my interpretation of this week's theme HOARD.  My first thought was a squirrel. However, the idea of a dog hoarding bones and then forgetting were it buried them, appealed to me. I am sticking to paints and ink on cold press for now. I am fascinated by the votes on the poll I have going on.

HA! So cute! Such a look of determination on that adorable face. And I love how the clouds even look like bones, taunting him even more!

The results of your poll ARE interesting! Thanks for posting it.

Hey, great colors and movement, and I like that you showed all the bones underground and even as clouds int he sky! Very well executed.

Your wonderful illustration reminds me of a dog we had growing up named "Lady". She would bury my mom's pancakes just to be nice. Great work!

This is such a fun picture. We have dog that actually buries her bones and rawhide chewies (she must have read the doggy handbook). I'm certain she forgets because something will suddenly surface my chance after a year.

Anyway, thanks for your comment on my blog. Good work, too!

I really like the composition of this piece! It reminds me of my parents' hoarding dog, Chance :)
