IF: INFINITE

A mother’s love is infinite!

This week I’m posting a sketch that I hope to color, but I’m not sure if I’ll get the chance. Ever since the kids went back to school and I’ve been promoting my graphic design and illustration services, I’ve been progressively getting busy, which is great! This week, I was bombarded with stuff! Mostly graphic/web design related, and all with serious deadlines, so my playtime is really minimal at best.

Well, this sketch was inspired by the book “Runaway Bunny”, which I’m sure many of you’ve read or heard of. While on the subject of children’s books…have you ever read “Love You Forever” by Robert Musch? I always get teary eyed when I read it to my kids. It’s probably one of my favorite books as an adult. Do you have a children's book that makes you cry?

Lastly, I wanted to mention that I took my kids to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and absolutely loved the characters and the graphics. It was eye candy all the way through! Highly recommend it!

Have a fantastic weekend! and thanks for all your comments!!!

This is a beautiful sketch and I hope you do get time to give it color. There are many books that I have read to my children and grandchildren that make me laugh and cry, but there are some stories I have illustrated that made me cry as I illustrated them. One of those is When Wishes Come True by Barbara B Slater. The story is geared more to adults and wise children, and is a testament to love, friendship and caring for one another.

This is a nice piece Edrian.... hope you get a chance to color it..... and that book gets me every time. I'm so glad I'm not the only one!

Congrats on the work girl!

Aww, this tugs at my heart. Sweet dreams, little bunny. What a wonderful drawing.

Hey, you have deadlines! Well, that's a good sort of busy. So glad to hear it. Good luck with all those projects.

I actually have never read 'I'll Love You Forever,' but it sounds like something that would definitely make me cry. But there IS a book that always gets me teary: The Giving Tree, one of my all time favorites.

okay Erian, either I'm really tried or going through the change or PMSing, but this post brought tears to my eyes I mean good tears. Happy ones. This is so sweet and so very true. It just touched my heart. I can't wait to see it all colored in. Excellent piece.

Wow! Your work is truly beautiful. I'm so envious of your talent. I can't draw a straight line let alone draw awesome pictures. You have to finish off the bunnies they're too good not to be colored.
I'm a real cry baby when it comes to books, I remember as a child disrupting the entire class with my noisy sobs while the teacher read Charlottes Web.

This is such a sweet illustation and I love your use of "infinite"! Your drawing is so excellent even without color! I have so many children's books I love; one of my favorites is "Guess How Much I Love You" which also features bunnies.

Sweet sketch Edrian. Congrats on getting some assignments, and I hope you get some "you" time as well.
GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU is one of those books for me--also features bunnies...
